Summer Festivals

Open-air concerts

Summer in Paris is above all the festival season. This is one of my favorite activities this season, there are all kinds of festivals : theater, cinema, street arts... But the best known are the music festivals. Music is an integral part of my life, it is an art form that transmits a lot of emotions...

A song can change your mood instantly, it can either make you feel good or calm you down depending on what you’re listening to. Personally, I have a pretty broad repertoire, I listen to all kinds of music: pop, rock, blues, jazz, electro, classical and even a little country music! It all depends on the occasion and my mood at this moment. Festivals are the perfect opportunity for me to discover new artists, to enjoy the sunnyl days with friends, to dance but above all to have fun!

My dream would be to go to Coachella, the reference in this field and one of the biggest eclectic festivals that takes place in California at Palm Springs. It is particularly known for fashion looks as the festivals are also the perfect opportunity for fashion lovers like me to wear their best outfits, often with a slightly bohemian style.

Summer program

The list of festivals is quite long and there is something for everyone. As you probably know there was the famous eco-friendly festival We Love Green which I had the chance to attend in early June or the Solidays which took place last week.

Next on the list are the Paris Jazz Festival from July 6 to 26, 2019 at Parc Floral, Lollapalooza from July 20 to 21, followed by Rock en Seine from August 23 to 25, where bands such as Major Lazer and The Cure will perform. As for cinema, a new edition of the Open-air Cinema will be held at the Parc de la Villette, including Charlie Chaplin’s «Modern Times», which I really appreciate. Classical music fans can also go to the Parc Floral de Vincennes for the Classique au Vert festival.

Horse riding and luxury: le Saut d’Hermès 2019

Hermès

As you already know, fashion is one of my means of expression. Great fashion designers and luxury brands inspire me on a daily basis. I have therefore decided today to write to you about this passion and to focus on a brand that I particularly appreciate symbolised by horses: Hermès.
Hermès, a luxury brand that promotes the French Arts of Living through creations that have become iconic in the world of fashion. This institute represented by these silk squares, bags and jewellery. But despite all, the brand remains close to these values.
Indeed, Hermès is a brand that is very attached to these origins. It continues to spread the traditional art of leather today, especially the saddlery which created his notoriety more than 180 years ago. The history of horse riding is closely linked to that one of Hermès, which was able to develop in this very particular and noble universe before diversifying and becoming a reference in the world of luxury.

Le Saut d’Hermès

The equestrian world has always fascinated me since I was a child. I started this sport when I was 10 years old and I immediately identified with him. A discipline combining elegance, refinement and sport in which fashion has a central place with riders always finely dressed and at the top of elegance... anyway the representation of all that I love.
Le Saut d'Hermès, which takes place in Paris this year from 22 to 24 March, is the perfect embodiment of my love for horses and the duality between modernity and tradition at Hermès. A brand that never forgets its roots and creates a sporting event that I particularly appreciate. A competition that takes place at the Grand Palais, where it’s good to attend between show jumping, cocktails and entertainments, I feel comfortable to spend my day before going to one of the Inwood hotels to finish my evening.

Grand Palais exhibition: the moon

The travel

As you all known for a long time, travel has always been an integral part of my life. It has allowed me to learn about myself, to discover new cultures and to spend moments that I will probably never forget. Nevertheless, I remain a great dreamer who is always thirsty for discoveries and whose appetite for great excursions is not yet satisfied.
When I’m thinking of travel, I often have my head in the stars. Since, I imagine myself discovering the constellations, like a great astronaut, saving the world like Joseph Cooper in the movie Interstellar or walking on the moon in the footsteps of Neil Armstrong's.

Exhibition the moon

The moon itself, the only other planet on which man set foot about 50 years ago in 1969, will be the subject of an exceptional exhibition from April to July 22 at the Grand Palais in the heart of Paris. This exhibition promises to be the event of the year not to be missed. She will proposes a travel on the moon through that real and imaginary dimensions. She wents back in history to take that visitors back in time from antiquity to the present day. It will exhibit works but also scientific instruments that testify to the research done on astrology over the different periods.
A program rich in information that promises to be very exciting and through which I will be pleased to explore all the facets of this mysterious night satellite. He won't have any more secrets for me.
This exhibition will therefore offers me the opportunity to realise one of my dreams by travelling through space. So for one afternoon I will be an astronaut on a great expedition to the moon!

Temporary exhibitions

In search of the most beautiful Parisian exhibitions of the moment, I focused on several of them that seemed interesting to me. As you know, the City of Light is full of many cultural treasures. These wonders take many forms within the capital that make the city unique. It’s thanks to that monuments, that museums and its architecture that Paris is now considered as the most beautiful city in the world. However, other aspects make it inimitable and temporary exhibitions are part of it.
Indeed, the numerous temporary exhibitions really bring the city to life. They are an integral part of the life of many Parisians and are entertaining and cultural activities that are a pleasure to visit every weekend.  I don’t deviate from this rule and as a good Parisian, I will visit a different exhibition each week to satisfy my thirst for knowledge. So it was during my research to find my weekly visit that I came across the Van Gogh exhibition, Starry Night.

Van Gogh, Starry Night

The event immediately caught my attention. First, because of my admiration for the artist himself. Vincent Van Gogh remains as one of the greatest painters of his time who was never fully recognised in his lifetime and who died too early in my opinion. A tortured and misunderstood artist who, thanks to his inimitable style, has left an indelible mark on the world. In addition to highlighting an artist I love, the Atelier des Lumières brings a touch of modernity by immersing visitors in the heart of the Van Gogh universe through the digital diffusion of his work on each wall of the studio.
An exhibition that will last until 31 December 2019 in the spirit of the times, which, thanks to modernity, showcases the works of a great painter in a new manner. Anyway, a magical moment that must not be missed...
