THE DERBY ALMA LOVES THE PANTHÉON, A MAGNIFICENT PARISIAN MONUMENT

Located in the Latin district of Paris, the Panthéon is a building dedicated to the greatest men and women of France: Voltaire, Victor Hugo, Marie Curie... These great people who participated in the influence and evolution of the French nation rest in this monument with a breathtaking architecture!

As soon as we arrived, we were seduced by the beauty of the Panthéon inspired by the ancient Roman temples: it is impossible not to be charmed by the splendid dome at the heart of the monument. In a calm atmosphere, we instinctively devote ourselves to the silence that the place incites us to respect the different Great Men who constitute it. Impressed by all these great figures of France, we imagine all the works and inventions that we owe to them and it inspires us!

DISCOVER THE TEMPLE OF THE FRENCH NATIONAL HERITAGE!

Perhaps you are wondering who houses the Panthéon? We have chosen to tell you about two people inhumed in this sublime temple who inspire us in particular.

The last personality to enter the Panthéon is a symbol of feminism in France. Simone Veil has been rested in the Pantheon since 1st July 2018. A political figure, she passed an anti-abortion law that contributes to the emancipation of women. Simone Veil is one of the greatest figures in the fight for women's rights in France.

How can we talk about the Panthéon without mentioning Victor Hugo? On June 1st 1885, the famous Victor Hugo entered the Panthéon. A great French writer, we owe to this great man many literary works such as Les Misérables or Notre-Dame de Paris. A committed politician, Victor Hugo is a symbol of the values of freedom and laicism that he will advocate all his life.
