My first watch
Dear Readers,
Some years ago, for my 18, my grandfather explained me that he wanted to « mark the occasion ». To offer me my first present as an adult, as a man. A timeless present that I will keep for a long time. He also explained me that his grandfather offered him the same gift for his 18, and it was a familial tradition. Touched, a little bit clumsy, I took the box I my hand.
Today, when I close my eyes, I can exactly remember the joy and the surprise that I felt discovering, inside the box, an Omega watch. My first man’s watch. This watch doesn’t leave me since this birthday. Each morning, when I leave the shower, I take my watch. Each evening, when I dress up, I take my watch. At each event, when I prepare myself, I take my watch. My grandfather, a tasty man, wanted to offer me a timeless jewel. And he did! This watch accompanied each moment of my life. It is a part of me.
The Omega shop
Today, I go to the Omega shop which takes place on the Champs-Elysees Avenue, in the aim of changing the battery. I push the shop’s door and I dive in a plush atmosphere, soft music and pepper smell… I feel comfortable very quickly. All of this, reminds me my grandfather, this man who offered me gift that I loved. I closed my eyes and I see me again, in front of this man that I admired, and who made me a present, that I will keep for a long time.
This is when I left the shop that an idea came to my mind. Few minutes in this shops in this place reminds me a lot of memories. On the road to the hotel Le Derby Alma, I thought about the time’s value. Time passes, time flies, noiseless, without warming us.
I leave you, dear readers, thinking about this sentence which has been pronounced anonymously one day « Time passes, memories stays ».
See you soon!
